Debate regarding Flat Feet for the infantry.?

its not a question, more of an idea gathering for me and other people regarding flat feet. now i dont get pains, though the odd shin splits after weeks of aggressive training without rest and incorrect footware, but that wouldnt stop me from training. i personally believe that if you can do the role, ie do your 30 miler carrying 30lbs of gear agross catterick and darkmore, then you are more than able enough to lug any ammount of gear anywhere, as those conditions are some of the worst anywhere. i also belive that if they do give you problems, then yes, infantry is not the way to go, but if they dont! then i cant understand why they would turn down a fit, healty, able potential soldier. around 30-35% of the population suffer with flat feet. actually, may i change the wording of that. have flat feet, but most do not suffer from it, having flat feet does not mean that you cannot run, walk, jog, yop due to them. i wear orange super feet insoles to give a little support, but not much.
it wont let me respond to those answers, but thanks for that, you all have answerd my questions correctly. the internet can be a very biased and a stupid place at times, with lots of mixed views, but 3 out of 3 isnt bad odds for me :) i can understand that if your feet gave you problems, then yes i would have to put in the towel, but because they dont, i am very anxious and concernd that if i tried for the paras, they would turn me down due to my feet, and not my fitness.
i am also talking from a british point of view, as i want to join the british army, so its no good saying " yea yea its fine, you can join the american army no problem" lol, cheers, but not what i and many other concernd flat footers (new word!!!) are wanting to hear :-)
